GOALANDA: Countries one of the most important river route Daulotdia-Paturia’s ferry services were disrupted but launch services remain normal on Friday.

Earlier on Friday morning, because of navigation crisis and technical problem eight ferries declared stopped and two others stuck on submerged riverbed.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Paturia Ghat Manager Bidyut Kumar Saha confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Goalanda Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sarwar Hossain was present in the Ghat to monitor the situation.

Meanwhile, some buses and trucks were stuck on the both sides of the ferry Ghat.
