BSF to organize retreat ceremony at Petrapol

DHAKA: In a first, BSF will organize a retreat ceremony at the Petrapol border in North-24 Paraganas on October 2.

Home Affairs Ministers from both countries will attend the programme.

The retreat ceremony is organized as a symbol of friendship between India and Bangladesh.

The border retreat ceremony will start with a cultural programme.

ADG of BSF BD Sharma said, “The programme will mark the vibrant culture of Bengal. There will be a special song for the inauguration of the retreat ceremony.”

The retreat ceremony will be held at four BOPs along the India-Bangladesh border. Four BOPs are Petrapol, Siliguri, Coochbehar and Akhaura in Tripura of India.
