Shibir’s attack injures 6 cops in Feni

FENI: At least six police personnel were injured as Chhatra Shibir activists attacked them at Sonagazi upazila in the district on Monday.

The clash took place in front of Enayet Ullah Market around 12:00 noon.
    
The injured police personnel are Sub-Inspector Mohammad Ullah, constable Ibrahim, Mostafa, Nur Nabi, Mustafiz and Abdul Karim.

They were admitted to Sonagazi upazila hospital complex, said a competent source in the incident.

Sources said some Shibir activists brought out a procession without permission from authority and vandalized several vehicles in front of Enayet Ullah Market.

On information, when police went to obstruct them Shibir activists threw brick-chips to police, leaving six police personnel injured.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Sonagazi Thana Suvash Chandra Paul said a case was filed in this connection.
