SUNAMGANJ: A husband and wife committed suicide with a rope at Charnarchar village under Dirai Upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Bhanu Maisyo Das, 25 and his wife Doli Maisyo Das, 22.

Charnarchar union parisad chairman told banglanews, “Victim’s mother found her son along with his wife hanging from the ceiling of their room at mid night.”

Hearing her screaming, locals rushed to the spot and informed the police.

Confirming the matter Dirai Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Enamul Haque told banglanews, “The bodies were sent to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.”
