BOGRA: Five students sustained bullet injuries during a fierce clash between the students of Bogra Polytechnic College and police on Saturday.
The clash erupted when students started pre-declared protest on demand of cancellation of examination which was scheduled to be held on September 29.
Agitated students vandalized around 10 vehicles in the area and started procession to meet their demand.
They also locked into chase and counter chase with police. At one stage police opened fire and tear shells, leaving five students injured by bullets.
Additional law enforcers were deployed in the area to thwart any unwanted situation.
Bogra Sadar Circle Assistant Police Super (ASP) Gaziur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
