COMILLA: Two people were killed and three others injured in a head-on-collision between a bus and CNG driven auto rickshaw at Bakharnagar under Muradnagar Upazila of the district on Saturday night.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Ayub Ali, 35, son of late Amir Hossain.

Local sources said a Comilla-bound bus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at around 8:30pm, leaving the auto driver dead on the spot and four people critically injured.

Later, locals rushed to the spot and sent the injured to hospital where a passenger succumbed to his injuries.

Mirpur Police outpost Assistant Sub-inspector Ohiduzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
