MONGLA, BAGERHAT: Mongla Port has been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number 3 as a low lies over North Bay and adjoining area moved slightly northwestwards and now lies over North-West Bay off West Bengal.

Axis of monsoon trough runs through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, the centre of low and thence northeastwards to Assam across South eastern part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.

Forecast: Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and at many places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur & Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
