Polytechnic students’ protest postponed

DHAKA: The students of polytechnic on Monday halted their movement to press two-point demand.

The spokesperson of Bangladesh Technical Student Council Jakir Hossain Sagar came up with the disclosure at capital’s Tejgaon Polytechnic Institute at around 11:10am.

Sagar said that they got a good feedback from their fellow students countrywide and they postponed their protest as there was an opportunity to meet their demand in cabinet meeting on Monday.

Besides, he urged students to get back to their halls.

However on Sunday, the students locked into sporadic clashes with police across the country resulting road blockades and vehicles vandalism.

Moreover, around 350 people were injured and public faced immense sufferings for this protest.
