DHAKA: Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Hasan Mahmud Khandaker flown to USA on Sunday night to participate in a 5-day international workshop in Harvard University.

Hasan Mahmud will be accompanied by Deputy Inspector General (CID) Saiful Alam in the workshop.

The workshop titled ‘Sixth Annual Workshop on Development of Safety and Justice Indicators’, arranged by the Programme in Criminal Justice Policy and Management of Harvard Kennedy School, is scheduled to be started on October 1.

The theme of sixth workshop is ‘Relation between Government-Indicators’ where the participants will discuss on importance of public opinion on the activities of police, legal aid to prevent violence against women and children, justice and safety.

Since 2010, Bangladesh has been participating in the workshop regularly.
