RAJSHAHI: A mother along with her minor daughter allegedly committed suicide by jumping down under a train at Bhadra rail crossing in the city on Monday noon.

The deceased were identified as Shamima Akter Kakoli, 25, and her daughter Laboni, 2.

Sources said Shamima Akter along with Laboni jumped under a moving train around 1:00pm over family feud, leaving Kakoli dead on the spot and injured Laboni.

Laboni was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Confirming the matter GRP Thana Officer-in-Charge Alamgir Hossain said an unnatural death case was filed in this connection.

Kakoli’s husband Monsur Ali is a shop assistant of Singer showroom in the city.
