DHAKA: Long queue of people were seen for railway advance tickets at city’s Kamlapur Railway Station at the first day of advance ticket selling on Wednesday.
Many expressed their frustration for not getting tickets from the railway counter.
However the passengers gave a mixed reaction on crisis of tickets but many of them smelt of blackmailing of tickets.
The passengers said that the Railway officials are not sincere to their duty and providing a very poor service which led a dilemma to get advance tickets.
Whatever the officials opposed these allegations and said that there is no chance to blackmail tickets in station area. For the quota system and regular passenger, the Eid-passengers might have problem to get advance ticket, they added.
Railway Nirapotta Bahini (RNB)’s Dhaka Division Officer-in-Charge M Shaheed said that additional law enforcers were deployed in the station area to ensure safety and security and avoid unpleasant incidents.
The railway officials claimed that they are concerned about the safety, fare, security of the passengers.
Station Manager M Khayrul Bashir confirmed the matter to banglanews.
