DHAKA: International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 opined that it has been invested a lot for leaking verdict of BNP leader Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury on various websites and it is a deep plot against the tribunal.
The tribunal also opined that it is a matter of sorrow and also a heinous step to make controversy over the tribunal activities.
Chief Prosecutor of the ICT-1 Golam Arif Tipu came up with the assertion on Wednesday following the remarks made by Bangladesh Bar Council Vice-Chairman and Supreme Court Bar Association former president Khandaker Mahbub Hossain.
Prosecution also ordered to submit written documents on the matter.
Tribunal-1 Justice Jahangir Hossain said that there was a deep conspiracy and huge investment behind this heinous attempt.
Meanwhile, he urged all to read the verdict clearly.
The justice also said, “May be I am a simple Justice but our chairman (ATM Fazle Kabir) who is working as Justice for 32-year is an extra ordinary personality.”
“We always follow the code of conduct,” he added.
Prosecutor Zeyad-Al-Malum said before declaring the verdict of Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury’s wife, son and lawyers showed the copy of verdict to media.
He urged prosecutor to take steps against them as they did it.
