NARAYANGANJ: US Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan W Mozena on Wednesday said both the parties would find out a way for free and fair elections.
The US diplomat came up with the observation while talking to journalists after visiting the power station of Summit Power Limited (SPL) in Meghna Ghat area at Sonargaon upazila in the district in the noon.
During his visit, French Ambassador to Bangladesh Michel Trinquier accompanied Dan Mozena.
Mozena said the journalists that the US government also expresses hope a free, fair and participatory election would be held place for the nonstop movement of democracy in Bangladesh.
US ambassador also said Bangladesh is the economic gateway to South Asia … the country is moving forward and has turned into a tiger of South Asia.
He further said that Bangladesh would be developed more if it taps the huge amount of mineral resources it got but the country needs more investments in the private sector.
Visiting the newly built power station by SPL, Mozena expressed his satisfaction with the work.
With the help of France, Summit Group built the power station in Meghna Ghat area which cost US$ 300 million, with the capability of 335-MW electricity production.
Narayanganj-3 MP Abdullah Al Kaiser MP and Chairman of Summit Power Ltd Mohammad Aziz Khan were among others present on the occasion.
