SAVAR: At least 20 shops were gutted in a fire at Motaleb super market in Savar, on outskirts in the city Wednesday midnight.

Witnesses said the fire broke out at a tin shed shop at around 11:00pm and soon engulfed the whole market.

On information, four fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire after one hour frantic effort.

Savar fire service senior station officer Khan Khalilur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Shops owner said the fire damaged properties worth couple of crore taka.
