DHAKA: A writ petition was filed seeking the High Court directives to hold next two general elections under Caretaker Government System.

Lawyer Yunus Ali Akand filed the petition with the court department concerned on Thursday morning.

Petitioner Yunus Ali told banglanews, “The hearing on the petition is likely to be held on Sunday.”

The petition was filed on basis of opinion given by former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque that two more parliamentary elections may be hold under caretaker government system.
