JHENAIDAH: A Krishak League leader was killed as a human hauler plunged into a roadside ditch in Bejpara area under Kaliganj upazila of the district on Friday noon.

The deceased was identified as Abdullah Al Baki, 55, former president of Jhenaidah Krishak League, an associate body of ruling Awami League.

Kaliganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Liakat Hossain told banglanews that the human hauler carrying Baki plunged into a roadside ditch, leaving him injured critically.

Local people rushed him to Jessore Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, OC added.
