KUSTIA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to inaugurate much-talked-about Rampal power plant during her scheduled visit in Kustia on Monday.

Sources said that Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the plaque on foundation stone of Rampal power plant named as Moitree Super Thermal Power Project with the substation at Bheramara for 500MW electricity that will be imported from India.

Sources also said that Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh will participate in the inauguration ceremony through video conference.

Director of PDB (Map-3) Chowdhury Nuruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

As per the sources, Prime Minister will inaugurate Rampal thermal power Plant along with 500 MW sub-plant at Veramara of the district.
