Health state minister’s ex-APS dies

MYMENSING: An ex assistant personal secretary of state minister for health Captain (rtd) Mazibur Rahman Fakir was killed in a road accident in Rashidpur area of the district town on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Kuddus.

Local sources said a truck collided head-on with the bus carrying Abdul Kuddus and others while he was returning home from Mymensingh, leaving 10 people injured.

Later, locals rushed the critically injures to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Following the shocking accident, the state minister for health, member of the parliament Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, Gafargoan Upazila Parisad Chairman Fahmi Golandaz Babel visited the victim’s home to express her sympathy and console the bereaved family members.

The first Namaj-e-Janaza will be held at around 5:00pm Saturday at Shamganj high school field of the district.
