ATM booth guard killed in city

DHAKA: Miscreants chopped to death a security guard of DBBL ATM booth at capital’s Mohammadpur early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Bashir, 36.

Sources said that Bashir was on night duty at the ATM booth on Noorjahan road in Mohammadpur.

Miscreants killed him in between 04:00am and 06:00am with lethal weapon, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter Mohammadpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Azizul Haque told banglanews, “The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.”

Tejgoan Zone Deputy Police Commissioner Biplab Kumar Sarkar told banglanews, “The murder is mysterious as the miscreants looted no money from booth and nothing from Bashir.”
