A Dhaka court on Sunday (Nov 06) placed Sultana Ahmed, general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, on a two-day remand in a Digital Security Act (DSA) case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam passed the order as police produced her before the court on Sunday and pleaded to place her on a seven-day remand.
Earlier this morning, RAB-3 arrested Sultana from her Gulshan residence.
Former president of Gopalganj District Chhatra League Abdul Hamid filed the case with Paltan Model Police Station.
According to the case, Sultana made hateful and offensive comments on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina while attending a rally of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in front of public media.
