Sramik League office torched in city

DHAKA: Miscreants set fire to an office of Sramik League, the Sramik wing of ruling Awami League, in Demra area in the city early Wednesday, the last day of the 18 party enforced 60-hour hartal.

Witnesses said Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, brought out a brisk procession and set fire to the office located in Demra Staff Quarters premises around 5:30am.

However, police could not detain anyone in connection to this arson.

On the other hand, Shibir activists blasted couple of cocktails in front of RAB-3 office.
 
Demra Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police Minhaj confirmed the matter to banglanews.
