Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold a press conference on Friday afternoon following the detention of the party's two top leaders and the uncertainty over holding a rally on December 10 in Dhaka.

Confirming the matter, chairperson's media wing member Shamsuddin Didar said the press conference will be held at BNP Chairperson's Gulshan office at 3pm.

Earlier on Friday (Dec 9) night, Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (BD) picked up BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Alamgir and standing committee member Mirza Abbas.
