Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has got permission from the authorities to hold its divisional rally at Golapbagh field in Dhaka on December 10.
BNP Vice Chairman AZM Zahid Hossain confirmed the matter.
He said police have verbally given them permission.
Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (DB) allegedly picked up Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Alamgir and standing committee member Mirza Abbas on Friday (Dec 9) night.
Member of the BNP's Media Cell Sayrul Kabir Khan said a team of the DB of Police picked them up from their houses at 3:15 am.
DB chief and Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner Harun-Or-Rashid confirmed this information to newsmen on Friday (Dec 9) morning.
The DB chief said, "They are at the DB compound and are being interrogated over cocktails and explosives recovered from the party's Nayapaltan office on December 7 night".
He said: "We are questioning them if there is any sabotage plan in connection to BNP's rally tomorrow (Dec 10)".
Harun-or-Rashid said that the interrogation is going on, and details will soon be provided after the interrogation.
