Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) decided to bring out its mass procession in the capital on December 30 instead of December 24 following Awami League (AL) request.
However, the countrywide mass rally will be held outside Dhaka on December 24.
BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan announced the new date at a press briefing held today at the party's Nayapaltan office.
Earlier on December 13, AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader urged BNP not to bring out mass procession in Dhaka on December 24 as his party is set to hold its national council on the same day.
Earlier on December 10, BNP's standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain announced mass processions and demonstrations in protest of the attack on and arrest of party leaders and activists.
Recently, BNP, as part of its anti-government movement placed a 10-point demand on December 10 at their last divisional mass rally in Dhaka.
