Police today (Dec 24) arrested 25 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chattra Shibir as they brought stick processions in different places in Dinajpur town.  

Golam Mawla, inspector of Kotwali Police Station confirmed the matter. 

“Today there was a mass rally of the district BNP. Jamaat-Shibir leaders started gathering for subversive activities by joining this procession,” Golam Mawla claimed. 

“Police conducted drives and arrested 25 Jamaat-shibir men. We will take legal action against them,” he added.
