The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today (Dec 27) submitted a charge sheet against Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) standing committee member Mirza Abbas and his wife Afroza Abbas in a case filed over acquiring wealth illegally.

ACC Secretary Mahbub Hossain disclosed this information at a press briefing at the ACC headquarters in Shegunbagicha.

The case was filed with Shahjahanpur (DMP) police station on January 7, 2019.

According to the case statement, the couple acquired wealth worth around Tk 20.75 crore from unknown sources.
