The ruling Awami League (AL) today (Dec 30) decided to organize rallies in various places in the capital.

The rallies will be held under the initiative of Dhaka Metropolitan North and South Awami League.

AL announced these protests on the day of BNP-led coalition declared their Demonstration program.

Awami League Central Office, Farmgate, Shyamoli, Mohakhali, Jatrabari, Mirpur, and Uttara are the places Awami League central leaders will be present.

Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League office secretary Riaz Uddin Riaz confirmed this matter to Banglanews. 

The rallies will be held after Jumma prayers, he said, adding "but we will be on the streets from this morning."
