Former state minister Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan has resigned from the post of BNP chairperson's adviser after quitting parliament.
Mainul Hasan Tushar, son of Abdus Sattar said that his father gave the resignation letter to the BNP chief's office on Thursday night.
He claimed that BNP is not giving his father much importance right now.
Even he is not called to take any important decisions for the party, Tushar added.
Abdus Sattar was an elected lawmaker from Brahmanbaria and Cumilla as a BNP candidate for five times.
He was BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's adviser.
