BNP expelled advocate Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan, former adviser of party Chairperson, from all the party posts for collecting nomination form for the upcoming by-polls to Brahmanbaria-2 constituency violating the party discipline.
A press release signed by BNP’s acting office secretary Syed Emran Saleh Prince was issued in this regard on Sunday.
On Sunday (Jan 1) Abdus Sattar collected nomination form to contest in the by-election to Brahmanbaria-2 constituency.
One Rashid collected the nomination form on behalf of him from Brahmanbaria Election Commission office on Sunday, said the district election officer Md. Zillur Rahman.
Earlier on Saturday, former state minister Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan resigned from the post of BNP Chairperson’s adviser. He submitted his resignation letter to the BNP chairperson’s office on Thursday night.
About the resignation of his father, Mainul Hasan Tushar said his father has been with the politics of BNP since its inception. As BNP is not giving his father much importance right now his father resigned.
Abdus Sattar was an elected lawmaker from Brahmanbaria and Cumilla as a BNP candidate for five times.
