Chattogram Metropolitan Jubo Dal president Mosharraf Hossain Dipti has been arrested from a restaurant in Cumilla's Bishwa Road.

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested him from the restaurant around 11:30pm. Later, he was handed over to Chattogram Kotwali thana police.

Chattogram Metropolitan Police's Additional Deputy Commissioner Nobel Chakma confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said: "Dipti is an accused in a case filed over an attack on police personnel during BNP's protest procession on January 16. He was trying to flee Chattogram for Dhaka. Getting information from Cumilla police, we are able to nab him. Dipti was brought to Chattogram and will be produced in the court today."
