Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today (Jan 21) said BNP has become desperate to go to power unconstitutionally through killing-coup and conspiracies after being rejected time and again by the people in elections.
"BNP is dying to go to power through killing-coup following unconstitutional means. Its leaders are giving provocative and misleading speeches to misguide the people," he said in a statement.
Quader issued the statement condemning and protesting BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul's remarks that the government would not get scope to flee to save itself.
"Such remarks do not suit in the mouth of the leader of a political party, whose top leadership quit politics and the country through giving undertaking and maintains fugitive life abroad being convicted by court," he added.
Quader said BNP is spreading negative propaganda to its foreign masters by hiring lobbyist firms for millions of dollars.
It is continuously hatching conspiracies for imposing 'sanctions' against the country as well as the people through giving its foreign masters false and fabricated information, he alleged.
