The BNP has begun its four-day march program in the capital to press home their 10-point demand, including holding the next general election under a non-party caretaker government.
The first of the road marches, organised by the party's Dhaka North unit, started from the Suvastu Valley point at Badda around 2pm and will end in front of Abul Hotel at Malibagh.
Earlier on January 26, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the program for Dhaka at a press conference the party's Naya Paltan central office.
Fakhrul said that the leaders and activists of their party's Dhaka north and south city units will observe the march program on January 28, 31, 30 and February 1 respectively.
Dhaka North City unit BNP will march from Gabtoli to Mirpur 10 intersection on January 31 and Dhaka South City unit BNP will march from Jatrabari to Shyampur on January 30 and from Mugda to Malibagh on February 1.
