DHAKA: Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad held a meeting with the secretary general of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh Major (retd) Mannan and joint secretary general Mahi B Chowdhury on Sunday night.

After the meeting, Major Mannan said the journalists that they discussed about the meeting of Ershad with Hefat-e-Islam Amir Allama Ahmed Shafi.

Mahi B Chowdhury said that they talked over forming a new alliance outside of the two parties (Awami League and BNP).

Mahi also said that it was JP’s internal matter whether to join polls-time all-party interim government.
