DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to leave from Saudi Arabia on Thursday night to perform Umrah hajj.

A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the premier left Shahjalal International Airport for Jeddah at around 11:40pm.

She will stay Mecca and Medina on Friday and Saturday.

The Prime Minister will return home on Saturday midnight after performing Umrah.

A 55-member team including Prime Minister’s Sister Sheikh Rehana, officers of Prime Minister’s office and foreign ministry, security personnel and journalists will accompany the premier during the tour.
