Thirteen pro-BNP lawyers including Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president candidate AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon and secretary candidate Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal have been granted anticipatory bail in three separate cases.

They got bail for eight weeks, or till submission of police reports in the cases.

The HC bench of Justice Md Salim and Justice Md Bazlur Rahman issued the order on Monday (March 20) following three petitions filed by the accused lawyers.

The cases were filed on charges of snatching away ballot papers of SCBA election, preventing police from discharging duties and vandalism during the elections on March 15 and 16.
