No more egotism now: Suranjit

DHAKA: Awami League advisory council member Suranjit Sengupta urged opposition BNP to come forward in melting down political gridlock by easing their firm stand on caretaker issue.

Suranjit came up with the argument while addressing an event organized by Bangabandhu Academy at city’s Diploma Engineers’ Institution on Friday.

The Awami League leader said that the interim time ahead of election is not for egotism, it’s for peaceful solution and opposition has responsibilities on the issue.

He said, “Poll-time cabinet should take initiatives to hold dialogue between political parties as the cabinet was not only formed to work for free and fair election, but also to clam down the situation.”

Dhaka metropolitan Awami League joint general secretary Haji Selim presided over the programe.
