DHAKA: Senior members of US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations expressed their satisfaction over the role of Jatiya Party (JP) for holding the next general elections fairly.

The matter was disclosed in a press release on Sunday.

While holding a meeting with Bobby Hajjaj, special envoy of Ershad, the senate members said that election is the only way to reflect the people’s choice and transferring power peacefully.

They also expressed their disappointment over the loss of lives and properties for the ongoing political instability.

Hajjaj returned to Bangladesh on Saturday evening after his two weeks visit in USA.
