Police arrested BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Khandaker Abdul Muktadir from Sylhet Airport area on Saturday (April 8).

Sudip Das, additional deputy commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) confirmed the matter. 

Mohammad Ali Mahmud, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sylhet Kotwali Police Station said that Khandakar Abdul Muktadir was arrested in connection with a case over an attack on police on October 15, 2018. 

He also said that as an arrest warrant was issued against him in that case, he was arrested from Sylhet Osmani International Airport area.
