SYLHET: Biswanath Upazila BNP and its front organizations called a dawn-to-dusk hartal for Wednesday in the upazila protesting the arrest of party leaders.

Upazila Jubo Dal convener Nur Uddin announced the movement programme at 2:00pm Tuesday.

He said, “We will observe the hartal from 6:00am to 6:00pm on Wednesday demanding release of four leaders and activists, including upazila vice-chairman Gaus Khan whom the law enforcers arrested.”

The hartal will run simultaneously of the 48-hour country wide blockade enforced by BNP-led 18-party.
