Senior BNP leaders visited the party chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan residence to exchange Eid greetings on Saturday (April 22).

The BNP chairperson wanted to know about the situation prevailing in the country as they met her after a long time, Fakhrul said, adding she also wanted to know about the future situation of the country.
"We were all overwhelmed as we met her after a long time. We hope we will meet her more often in the days to come," said the senior leader.
Earlier on February 8, 2017, Khaleda Zia landed in jail after being sentenced to five years' imprisonment by a special court in Dhaka in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
On March 25, 2020, the government temporarily freed Khaleda Zia from jail through an executive order suspending her sentence with conditions that she would stay at her Gulshan house and would not leave the country. Since then, she has been staying at her house.
She also received treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital several times.
