MANIKGANJ: At least 30 people, including seven police men, were injured in a clash between BNP leaders and police in the district town on Wednesday.

Sources said that BNP brought out a procession at around 11:00amand progrssing to Manikganj bus stand area and police obstructed them that triggered a clash.

Meanwhile, police fired 18 rounds of blank shot and tear shell to bring the situation under control, leaving 30 people injured.

Confirming the matter Manikganj Sadar Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kamrul Hasan told banglanews, “Additional law enforcers were deployed in the area.”
