BNP leaders and activists joined the party's rally at Nayapaltan headquarters and its surrounding areas to press home their 10-point demand.
The protest rally began at 2:30pm on Saturday (May 13) afternoon.
The leader and activist were seen wearing colourful caps, carrying banners and posters, chanting anti-government slogans and demanding the release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Many members of law enforcement agencies were deployed in and around the rally venue.
General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir of the party is present as the chief guest while the rally is being presided by BNP leader Amanullah Aman.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is expected to announce the next course of action from today's rally.
Earlier on May 10, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the Senior Joint Secretary General of the BNP, announced this protest rally in Dhaka to press their ten point demand.
These demands include advocating for upcoming parliamentary elections to be conducted under a non-partisan caretaker government, the resignation of the current government, and the dissolution of the parliament.
