Md Jahangir Alam former suspended mayor of Gazipur City Corporation said there is no scope to quit from the competition in upcoming city corporation election.

Jahangir was addressing reporters at his residence in Gazipur’s Choydana on Tuesday (May 16) afternoon.

He said, “My mother is a candidate in the election. So I have to support my mother. I and my mother will remain in the field until the end of the election.”

About his permanent expulsion from Awami League, Jahangir said, “I came to know about the matter through various media including social media. No one from the party informed me.”

On Monday, Jahangir Alam was expelled from AL permanently.
