UN Chief sends letter to Khaleda Ban Ki-moon and Khaleda Zia

DHAKA: Opposition leader also BNP chairperson received a letter on Friday from United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon which comprised urges to ease ongoing political gridlocks throughout the country.

BNP Chairperson’s foreign affairs advisor Shamsher Mobin Choudhwry confirmed the matter to banglanews.

However, he didn’t unveil the issues and directives on the letter.

Meanwhile, sources said that UN Secretary General’s letter is containing directions of peaceful way out of the ongoing political crisis over poll-time interim government between ruling and opposition.

Earlier on Wednesday, Dr AK Abdul Momen, Bangladesh ambassador and permanent representative to the UN in New York, told that Ban Ki-Moon wrote letters to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Opposition chief Khaleda Zia.
