JHENIDAH: BNP led 18-party alliance called dawn-to-dusk hartal in Kotchandpur and Moheshpur upazilas for Sunday protesting the death of Shibir activist Israil during blockaders -police clash.

Kotchandpur upazila BNP president Sirajul Islam and Sura member of Jamaat-e-Islami Motiar Rahman made the announcement.

  Earlier in the morning, BNP-Jamaat-Shibir men locked into clash with police when they obstructed a pro-blockade procession at around 10:30am, leaving five, including Israfil, bullet wound.

Later, Israfil succumbed to his injuries at Kotchandpur upazila heath complex around 11:00am.

Residential medical officer of the hospital Dr Siddque Hossain confirmed the death news to banglanews.
