BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s condition is now ‘stable’ and her treatment is ongoing under the close supervision of experts, her personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said today (June 14).
He also said a medical board reviewed her test reports and decided to continue with her ongoing treatment.
Besides, doctors are constantly monitoring her condition and are arranging necessary treatment from time to time, he added.
Earlier on June 13, Khaleda Zia was taken to the Evercare Hospital in the capital's Bashundhara Residential Area.
The BNP Chairperson has been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, and problems in her kidneys, lungs, heart, and eyes.
She visited the same hospital for health check-ups on April 29.
Since her conditional release in 2020, the BNP chief has been receiving treatment at the hospital under a medical board.
