FENI: District returning officer cancelled the nomination paper of Awami League leader Joynal Hazari’s on Thursday morning.

Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Humayun Kabir Khandaker came up with the declaration around 11:00am after hearing.

Humayun said the nomination paper was cancelled as he didn’t pay his gas bill for last eleven years and eight months.

Apart from this, the nomination papers of Jatiya Party Golam Maula Chowdhury and BNF Shahriar Kabir were cancelled.

Feni-1 Awami League candidate Khayrul Bashar Tapan and district election officials were present.
