The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court today (July 10) upheld the bail order for BNP joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokon in a case filed over the murder of two JCD leaders.

A bench led by led by Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui passed the order on Monday, scrapping the state petition which sought a stay on bail.

Khokon on June 5 secured six-week anticipatory bail. Later, the state submitted an application seeking a stay on the bail order.
