DHAKA: A `Gayebana Janaza (funeral prayer in absence of the dead body) for the opposition men killed in the nationwide blockade was held in front of the party’s Nayapaltan office on Friday.

BNP-led 18-party alliance arranged the janaza after Juma prayers and prayed for salvation of those departed souls.

BNP Central Religion Affairs Secretary Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukdar, Juba Dal Senior vice-president Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, Bangladesh Labor Party Secretary General Hamdullah-Al-Mehedi, Labor Party Chairman Dr Mostafizur Rahman Iran, Advocate Sanaullah Mia and others joined in the program.
