A clash broke out between Govt Bangla College Bangladesh Chattra League (BCL) unit and BNP men in the capital's Mirpur on Tuesday (July 18).
The incident occurred at 11:55 am near the Govt Bangla College after the BNP started the march programme as part of their one-point movement.
BCL men allegedly attacked with bricks when the BNP leaders and activists reached Bangla College, according to BNP.
However, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) of Mirpur Division Jasim Uddin Mollah confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
Details will be provided later, he said.
Earlier, BNP started a march from Gabtoli Bus Station in the capital as part of their one-point movement with the goal to remove Awami League from the power to hold the upcoming national elections under a neutral government.
The march started around 11:20 am this morning. It will end at Roy Saheb Bazar intersection at 4 pm.
